The Stem Cells and Organoids WIP sessions are informal meetings consisting of labs that are currently using or interested in using stem cells/organoids to advance their research, with an emphasis on topics in regenerative medicine. This series is sponsored by the Human Cells, Tissues, and Organoids Core (hCTO) and the Center of Regenerative Medicine (CRM) at Washington University.
At each 1-hour session, two projects will be presented (20-minutes with 10-minutes for questions). The talks will be hybrid and a pizza lunch will be provided for in person attendees. Presenters will provide a brief background regarding their research question, their use of stem cells and/or organoids approach to the problem, and key data that have been generated. Presenters are encouraged to highlight any challenges, issues, and pitfalls to encourage discussion and to gain feedback from the WIP attendees. hCTO core representatives will also be available to field any questions.
The goal of the CRM sponsored WIPs is to support the ongoing progress of research projects that have a stem cell and/or organoid component, while also inspiring new projects and collaborations that will leverage these methods to advance the work.
